There are a number of words which can describe the process of building a house: terror, apprehension, fear of the unknown, and “are we doing the right thing?”.

This is a testimony to the professionalism of Future Homes personnel and, in particular, Kenny Vollrath. Kenny explained the modular home concept and, at our request, arranged a factory visit in Martinsville, VA. The factory visit revealed the quality of construction in a controlled environment of the modular concept and convinced us to proceed with the project. Kenny also arranged for an appointment with banking personnel and secured the necessary building permits once the process was set in motion.

The professionalism and quality product of the various contractors can be attributed in part to Jackie, the construction foreman. He was responsible for personnel selection and coordination of the sub-contractor scheduling.

The house was placed on the pilings the week of Thanksgiving, and we took possession in early February.
